Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring an Experienced Med/Surg RN for the Emergency Department.

Hours/Shift: Full Time (36 hr/week) Night Shift position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent nursing care based on the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN also adheres to professional standards covering ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience. RNs will work collaboratively with the ED team caring for patients admitted under med/surg level of care awaiting a room.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred)

• Registered Nursing License (required)
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg nursing experience
