A reputable health service organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a qualified Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join their Mental Health Support Teams. The role involves working with children experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, requiring Low Intensity-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Candidates should have the relevant qualifications, experience working with young people, and a driving license. This is a permanent full-time position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact.
We are excited to offer a permanent full-time opportunity for a qualified ChildrensWellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our service. The CWP team sits within our Mental Health Support Teams(MHST) early intervention pathway. We are looking for practitioners with proactive and positive attitudes to support our waiting lists, so that children can be seen quicker. The successful candidates will join our CWP team to work with children presenting with mild‑moderate presentations of mental health who require Low Intensity‑Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI‑CBT). The role may involve some travel around the county, seeing young people in community and clinic settings and so having a driving licence and car will be essential to the role. You will have already completed and passed the ChildrenWellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Training and have extensive experience working with children and young people.
Interacting with patients and the public you will be confident in giving non‑clinical information and advice that improves their experience. Dealing with sensitive information daily, you will understand the importance of data security.
Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county‑wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i‑Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post‑graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
