Description
Reports To: Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Management Trainee)
Overview: Responsible for assisting the management team in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Generate Sales:
- Responsible for meeting their goals/measures
- Develops and maintains relationships with top customers
- Supports in-store event sourcing and execution
- Customer Experience:
- Ensures the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision to our customers through “Hosting the Party”
- Leads the store in email capture and educating new associates on best practices
- Ensures the customer wish list is always current with customers being notified when product arrives.
- Crew Development:
- Assists with training new associates
- Helps foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment
- Helps in recruiting and referring top talent for the store’s teams
- Supports store and team-building activities with the management team
- Operations:
- Maintains efficient merchandise controls
- Maintains loss prevention awareness at all times
- Helps maintain a clean and tidy store environment
- Merchandising:
- Helps to maintain merchandising as it pertains to company standards, current compass (floorset), and brand initiatives
- Contributes to weekly product feedback
