What will I be doing?

As a Software Engineer within the THG team you will be:

• Working across the full application stack to contribute to the design, implementation and release of new business features for the THG Platform and developing those features in-line with industry best practice.
• Assisting with the maintenance and provisioning of new CI/CD pipelines, services in Kubernetes clusters.
• Providing technical support to business teams where required, ensuring that the THG platform is always available and performant.
• Working closely with the Product and Project managers to refine the backlog of work for the team and provide technical design and estimates.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and other technical teams to deliver features.
• Contributing to a highly collaborative and agile development culture.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Strong communication & collaboration skills.
• Java 11+
• Spring and Spring-Boot.
• Any message broker technology (e.g. ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ / Kafka/ Amazon SQS).

Willingness to learn or experience with:

• Prometheus / Grafana.
• JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Angular v.15+.
• Jenkins / GitHub actions.
• Working knowledge of DevOps pipelines (build, test, release, support).
• Containerisation and container orchestration (Docker/Podman and Kubernetes).
