A respected public sector institution in Greater London is seeking an Assistant Transport Planner to support vital transport planning projects. Responsibilities include assisting in project development, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience and qualifications in transport planning. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to community and infrastructure development within a professional environment.
Our client, a highly regarded institution within the public sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Transport Planner on a contract basis to strengthen their team in South-West London.
Assisting in the development and implementation of transport planning projects
Conducting traffic surveys and analysing data to support project feasibility studies
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment
Preparing reports, documentation, and presentations on various transport planning matters
Providing input into transport policy development and strategy
Supporting the coordination of consultations and public engagement activities
Monitoring the progress of projects and ensuring deadlines are met
Experience in transport planning, ideally within a highways context
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
Proficiency in relevant transport planning software and tools
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a variety of stakeholders
Understanding of transport policy, regulations, and best practices
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in transport planning, engineering, or a related field
Engagement in vital transport planning projects within the highways sector
