This role is to register your interest for the Project Manager roles here at BT in the South West. As a Project Manager, you'll execute and coordinate a range of workstreams in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects/programmes through all specific phases, in alignment with BT Group strategies and external customer contractual requirements. You will partner with BT Group and executive stakeholders within a single or multiple business units.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with an integrated team in the delivery of end-to-end projects/programmes, contributing to commercial benefit, delivering on time, within budget, and to agreed quality criteria from conception through to market launch and transition into operations.
- Monitor issue escalations, project risks, dependencies, and project changes, ensuring timely intervention and communication to stakeholders.
- Consult on complex projects/programmes using advanced technical knowledge with global impact (cross-functional), driving through execution, analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and implementation of projects/programmes and change initiatives in line with BT Group policies and strategies, defining and maintaining realistic project plans and monitoring project finances and progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
- Support project/programme communication with stakeholders with timely reporting on performance and decision-making information.
- Define, document, and execute smaller or less complex projects/programmes, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement, communication plans, and quality criteria.
- Champion, develop, and share knowledge on emerging trends in Project/Programme Management & PMO, e.g., agile methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma.
- Mentor other Project/Programme Management & PMO professionals to improve team capabilities.
- Influence stakeholders inside and outside BT Group by collaborating with business partners and support teams to drive strategy execution.
- Proactively manage risks through regular assessment and controls, raising concerns as needed.
- Ensure external delivery contract obligations, risks, and interdependencies are incorporated into project governance.
