In this role, you will provide person-centred support for residents with neurological conditions, assisting with daily living activities and promoting their well-being. Ideal candidates should possess a clear DBS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with residents. Qualifications
- Experience in the care sector is a plus but personal qualities are vital.
- Must have a clear DBS and satisfactory references.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to residents.
- Support residents with daily living activities.
- Participate in daily activities and provide companionship.
Skills
It is key to remember that each one of our residences have their own individual needs and preferences so you would need to care for them as if they were a member of your family. Part of your role would be to support them with every aspect of daily living, from washing and toileting to dressing and assisting at mealtimes where required. By providing them dignified person-centred care will ensure their needs are being met.
It is great if you have experience working in care however your personal qualities are key and should shine through, you must be cheerful, give big smiles be caring and compassionate that will help with the care we provide each of our residences. Each day can be varied so you would need to think on your feet, open to participate in daily activities like dancing and singing along with our residents. Timekeeping is crucial, you should arrive on time, take your time to listen, understand and provide the best care.
