We are looking to grow our enthusiastic and professional team and need experienced Logistics Assistants to help deliver our world class Traffic Solutions products to customers around the world. Based in our award-winning manufacturing site in Poole, we want dedicated, hardworking and positive people to help us continue to be successful.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in co-ordinating the material supply chain to meet Traffic SolutionsBusiness requirements.
  • Ensure inventory levels are kept to a minimum while achieving timely and cost effective customer deliveries.
  • Maintain and monitor deliveries against works cost.
  • Communicates and progresses material supply within the manufacturing team.
  • Suggest improvements in material supply to the Commercial Parts Business.
  • Work with the Commercial Parts Cell Leader to enhance and improve the business result and promote a vision for continuous improvement.
  • Suggests possible opportunities for cost reductions.
  • Work with the logistics team to resolve material supply problems within the Commercial Parts Business.
  • Ensure that the appropriate stock control measures are used to achieve an efficient and accurate use of materials against specific production requirements.
  • Report obsolescence of materials to the Commercial Parts Cell Leader.
  • Collate and distribute information to the manufacturing team as necessary
  • Maintain compliance with all appropriate Business Assurance procedures and processes.
  • Prepare items for despatch and create DAANs as required.
  • Manage inventory to achieve timely and cost effective customer deliveries.
  • Assist in controlling the material flow within the Commercial Parts Department.
  • Work with the cell logistics team to ensure that materials are booked-in and pre-selected in a timely and effective manner in order to support production build plans.
  • Identify and participate in solving day-to-day material supply problems.
Qualifications & Experience
  • We will give full training in this role but you will need to be prepared to work hard and willing to take responsibility.
  • Develop good working relationships with all manufacturing team.
  • Demonstrable and relevant administration experience gained within production material control or procurement environment is ideal
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Office packages, and have an awareness of Materials Management Databases.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Have a working knowledge of inventory control techniques.
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Able to adapt and be flexible
