Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist passionate about supporting young people with complex needs?

We’re offering apart-time opportunity (22.5 hrs/week)to join ourChildren & Young People’s Early Intervention in Psychosis (CYP EIP)team. You’ll work within a welcoming, experienced CAMHS EIP service, supporting young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis or presenting with an at-risk mental state.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll bring your psychological and CBTp expertise to assessments, individualised treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based therapies. You'll also contribute to wider service development, quality improvement, and offer supervision to trainees and junior staff.

You will:
• Conduct specialist assessments and develop individualised treatment plans with service users and their families.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Contribute to the development of service excellence and be involved in wider service development initiatives

You’ll be supported to access training and given opportunities to further your professional development.

Our service hours are 9-5 Monday – Friday. We’re based in Wokingham and have options for home working. You’ll work in clinics and community settings across Berkshire, so will need your own transport.

• Clinical Assessment: Conduct increasingly specialist assessments to understand a service user’s presenting difficulties and/or the systemic issues present.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualised specialised treatment plans based on assessment findings and service user needs, in collaboration with service users, to support their recovery and/or support with behaviours that challenge.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions using a range of psychological techniques and modalities, including CBT/CBTp
• Collaboration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives in the delivery of holistic client care, leading this where appropriate.
• Supervision and Training: Provide supervision and mentorship to clinicians and trainees contributing to their professional development and improving the quality of the treatment provided.
• Research, Audit and Service Development: Lead on and undertake audit and research and service development activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of clinical services.

The“must haves”for you to be considered for this role:
1. Post Graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and registration with the HCPC
2. Trained and accredited in CBT for psychosis and expert knowledge in working with people with psychosis.
3. Demonstratable post qualification experience working as a qualified psychologist
4. Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency environmen
