A local authority in Nottingham is seeking Care Workers to provide specialized support for adults with physical and sensory disabilities. This role involves implementing care plans, monitoring citizens' welfare, and working collaboratively with other professionals. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of the rights of vulnerable adults and be committed to promoting independence. Positions available are onsite, paying a starting salary of £25,583 per annum, with hybrid working options available.

Salary: Starting Salary is £25,583 (Level one) rising to £26,403 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Acorn Day Service is located within Mary Potter Centre in Hyson Green and provides specialised support for adults with physical and sensory disabilities.
The centre provides both one to one support for citizens and also activities in a group setting, to encourage and maintain independence for citizens.
The centre promotes a person-centred approach to care and support provided.
Care Workers at Level 1 implement Care Plans and report any concerns or reasons care plans cannot be followed, as well as monitoring care and welfare of citizens, recording accurate information on running records, communication books, care plans monitoring charts (e.g. weight monitoring, falls, etc.) and other written and electronic communications as required.
Care Workers at Level 1 are also expected to work and cooperate with other professionals, as well as citizens and their meaningful others, to ensure a shared approach to care and support and continuity of care and treatment.
This role will predominantly be working on a one to one basis, specifically with citizens who have learning disabilities, who may present challenging behaviours.
PLEASE NOTE that this role does not meet the relevant salary threshold criteria for Skilled Visa sponsorship, and therefore applicants requiring sponsorship are unable to apply.
