We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our chemical manufacturing facility in Rotherham as a Shift Team Leader. You will be responsible for leading shift teams and managing site manufacturing assets to ensure the delivery of production targets to agreed standards, deadlines, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the shift team to deliver manufacturing output against daily and weekly production plans, ensuring all safety, quality, and operational standards are met.
• Co-ordinate materials and resources for efficient production, problem solve operational issues and escalate when necessary.
• Accurately record production data and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) information using relevant systems.
• Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives for own area, supporting wider manufacturing performance objectives.
• Provide visible leadership, coaching, onboarding, and ongoing competency development for all Process Operators on shift.
• Act as a key decision-maker for production issues out of hours and serve as theescalation point for shift technical queries.
• Serve as Emergency Co-ordinator for designated manufacturing assets in out-of- hours situations.
• Deputise for the Production Manager as required during non-standard hours.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading production or shift teams in a complex, chemical, or hazardous manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable use of best practice safety, operational, and continuousimprovement methods and systems.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and computer literacy skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Experience in emergency or incident management is desirable.
• A HNC or relevant technical qualification is beneficial but not essential.

This role involves 24/7 shift working, so flexibility is required.
