A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a proactive individual to manage specialty waiting lists and ensure compliance with treatment time guarantees. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in waiting list management, and the ability to support a diverse workforce. This role offers the opportunity to improve service provision to patients while leading administration efforts in the healthcare sector.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
General Medicine (South Sector) provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the population of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the West of Scotland. The General Medicine inpatient service is primarily based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) and Gartnavel General Hospital. Outpatient services are located on three sites, Gartnavel General Hospital, New Victoria ACH, and QEUH. The service supports an extensive range of specialties and sub specialties, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Cardiology, Inherited Cardiac Conditions, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Immunology, General Medicine and Respiratory and Cardiac Physiology.
