Academics are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join one of our fantastic partner primary schools in Canterbury, East Kent. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting upper KS2 pupils as they grow in confidence and independence.

What you'll do as a Year 5 Teacher:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored specifically to Year 5 pupils
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Prepare pupils for the transition into Year 6 by fostering resilience and strong study habits
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver high-quality learning
  • Promote curiosity, independence, and a love of learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Early Careers Teachers (ECT) welcome
  • Experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5 or upper KS2
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • A nurturing, proactive, and organised approach
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
