Job summary

A local education provider is looking for a committed and dedicated Year 5 primary school teacher in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will undertake full classroom responsibilities and is required to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with at least 6 months of experience in a UK primary school. The role is full-time, starting from January 2026 until the end of the school year, with potential for a permanent position from September 2026.

Overview

We are looking to appoint a Year 5 primary school teacher at a local primary school in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be committed and dedicated to children’s learning, available full‑time, and will undertake full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation (PPA time will be given), and marking. The role starts from January 2026 until the end of the school year, with the possibility of a permanent contract from September 2026.

Requirements
  • Be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Early Careers Teacher (ECT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education
  • MUST have Qualified Teacher Status
  • Minimum of 6 months experience within a UK primary school
  • Have the ability and experience of teaching at primary level
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Be able to use your own initiative as well as working as part of a team
  • Be flexible
  • Reliable and contactable
  • All candidates will be subject to a full registration interview, including safeguarding questions, reference and DBS checks (following KCSIE 2024)
