Job summary

A local primary school in Westbury is seeking a dedicated Wraparound Care Assistant to support after-school activities for children. Wraparound Care Assistant – Part Time

Chapmanslade CofE Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant to support the Wraparound Care Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of our after-school provision.

Working Hours

Part time (12 hours 30 minutes per week, 3.00pm until 5.30pm Monday-Friday, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days). Contract : Fixed Term (until 31st August 2026). Required : ASAP

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves assisting with the planning and organising of a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.

Qualifications
  • Passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents
  • Self‑motivated, energetic and proactive and will support in ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality education and care for all of our children
  • Experience of working with children in a play/educational setting
  • Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one)
  • Strong team player
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Warm and caring approach with children
  • First Aid trained (advantageous)
