About the role

The Workshop Team Leader (Electric Actuation Services) is responsible for ensuring all jobs are processed through the workshop and on site to completion. They will support, coach and manage all team members.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading Valve and Actuator service provider and join a growing team.

This role is based our premises in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
  • Provide technical and hands on support to the actuation workshop team, site installations and one day servicing
  • Prioritising workload and labour to achieve maximum capacity to meeting deadlines.
  • Liaise with other departmental Managers as necessary
  • Ensure adequate cover is provided on all shifts
  • Ensure service jobs are kitted out fully, management of spares stock and consumable items
  • Prepare for and attend weekly production meetings
  • Update status reports
  • Assist in compiling RAMS for one day service work
  • Monitoring and controlling costs of materials and labour on jobs
  • Ensure apprentice competency matrix is completed timely and mentoring and training of apprentices is fulfilled
  • Actively promote Score APS
  • Meet or exceed the KPI’s
  • Drive efficiency
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
  • Mechanical, Electrical or any other Engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)CompEx EX01,2,3 & 4 preferred
Experience
  • Basic electrical skills, fault finding, testing and commissioning of all actuator types
  • Be fully competent working alone on all valve and actuator types
  • Demonstrable workshop or technician experience within a valve actuator workshop environment – preferred
  • Experience working on Electrical Actuator Products
  • Experience in a supervisory role
