Workshop Plant Fitter

Location : Leeds

Salary / Bonuses : £33,000 – £34,000 per annum, 45‑hour week + overtime at time‑and‑a‑half

Neos Engineering are partnered with a well‑established construction plant equipment business who are looking to strengthen their workshop team with an experienced Plant Fitter. This company supports construction, civils and groundwork clients across the region, providing reliable servicing and repair solutions from their Leeds depot.

The Role
  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of construction plant machinery within a workshop environment.
  • Effective fault‑finding and diagnostics across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Completing job sheets accurately and maintaining professional standards.
  • Supporting workshop efficiency and ensuring machinery is prepared for hire.
The Candidate
  • Have previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Plant Technician or similar.
  • Be competent working with hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics and diesel engines.
  • Ideally have experience with excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers and similar plant equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
