The Springfield Group are looking to recruit Workshop Operatives to join our busy timber kit manufacturing team in Elgin.

About the Role

Based at our factory at The Level, Birnie, you will be responsible for the manufacture of our timber frame panels and floor cassettes for distribution to our developments within The Springfield Group. This will involve the use of various machinery and power tools including saws, nail guns and staplers to prepare materials. Other duties will include the stacking of timber frame panels for transportation to site and the manufacture of metal open web joists.

About You
  • You will play a vital role in the construction of our homes across the group therefore candidates should ensure a high level of accuracy and consistency whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D production drawings.
  • Previous experience using machinery and power tools would be advantageous.
  • Candidates should be organised and thorough to ensure that workstations are kept clean from any debris.
  • Health and safety training will be provided; however, candidates should have the ability to carry out their work in a safe and diligent manner. PPE will be provided where necessary.
  • Holding a valid forklift ticket would be advantageous to the role, however training will be provided.
