Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Workshop Fitter in Bristol. The successful candidate will conduct safety inspections, perform servicing and repairs on plant machinery, and ensure high standards of maintenance. You must have an NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, experience with diesel engines, and strong problem-solving skills. Workshop Fitter

Bristol, Avonmouth

Full-Time, Permanent

£30,000 - £40,000

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and LOLER safety inspections.
  • Perform scheduled servicing and general repairs, along with damage assessments.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to high standards to keep machinery safe, reliable, and ready for hire.
  • Work efficiently to support the depot's operational needs by turning machines around quickly and accurately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience with plant machinery and diesel engines.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written English.
  • CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.
