Job summary

A technical recruitment agency seeks a Workshop Engineer in Ripon. The successful candidate will undertake maintenance, inspection, and service of plant equipment. Applicants should have NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering and experience with heavy vehicles. Competitive salary ranging from £32,625 to £36,993 plus bonuses, overtime, and comprehensive benefits including pension and healthcare will be provided. Monday to Friday working hours apply.

Qualifications

Job description
Workshop Engineer Ripon

Days Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Engineer who has worked on Heavy Vehicle maintenance either in the Army/Construction/Plant or Materials Handling Maintenance? We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who will be based out of our client site in Ripon.

Responsibilities
  • Identify the root cause of a breakdown in a timely manner and ensure the correct parts are obtained using the nominated supply chain, including when required
  • Identify any further work required on a machine and ensure the customer is made aware
  • Complete all related job and service documentation with accurate data and all necessary signatures/documents obtained from the customer.
  • Repair, maintain, inspect and service plant, equipment such as Fork Trucks and associated ancillaries to current company standards and LOLER and PUWER legislation, both at regional pool location and on site as directed, using effective time management systems.
  • Maintain local stocks of spares, CES, ancillaries, attachments and local technical documentation, as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in construction related plant/MHE/HGV/Agricultural/Fork Truck maintenance would be highly desirable or similar experience
  • Strong communication skills and able to work well alone or part of a team
Salary & Benefits

They offer salary between £32,625-£36,993 plus annual bonus (which is split quarterly and equates to £2,900 per year) as well as opportunity for overtime which is paid at x1.5 Mon-Fri and x2 Weekends. Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours). A contributory Pension Scheme, 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays), Healthcare benefits
