Job Specification

The client requires the services of a Works Site Supervisor for the construction phase.

Specific brief: The Site Supervisor will be required to undertake the following:

Responsibilities

• Act as the Site Supervisor as defined under the NEC Contract NEC Option B contract, requiring significant experience with this form of contract.
• Significant experience in the delivery/construction of highways infrastructure projects, preferably on Local Highway Authority projects.
• Day‑to‑day supervision of the contract, liaising with the Contractor, Design Consultants and wider delivery team.
• Inspections of the works for compliance with the Contract.
• Testing of materials and supplied products where required.
• Dealing with variations and compensation events in consultation with the PM/QS.
• Inspecting the contractors’ progress against contract scope and programme.
• Dealing with non‑formances and defects.
• Managing safety issues.
• Attendance at CTMP, CEMP and WTMM.
• Assisting the PM and QS in monthly valuations.
• Exhibit professional behaviours and effective communication with the appointed contractors’ staff, calm and measured approach.
• Professionally manage interrelationships with the contractor where there are differences of opinion, e.g. on defects raised.

Qualifications

• CSCS card holder (e.g., Gold Supervisor card).
• NRSWA qualified.
• Base location will be the construction site north of Woking; attendance required 5 days a week and some weekends.
