Location: London

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum (depending on experience + Bens)

Womenswear Designer – jersey product

An additional exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Womenswear Designer to join a small and well‑established supplier in Central London. The company works mainly on jersey product which is produced out of Turkey and with a number of UK and European retailers including supermarkets.

As the Womenswear Designer, you will be purely designing jersey product Womenswear and some Girlswear, coming up with on‑trend research and will be tasked with providing specifications for the factories, working closely with them to action samples and help manage the manufacturing process (strike‑off) in addition to following the customer seasonal calendars in line with the critical path. You will also create CAD presentations showcasing designs for use with buyers and attending presentations at your key accounts.

Requirements
  • Recent track record designing Womenswear jersey either with another high street supplier or a high street retailer/supermarket; commercial experience needed.
  • Recent and previous experience attending buyer presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Womenswear high‑street trend aware.
  • Able to understand deadlines and be open to commitment on them.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
