A renewable energy company is seeking a Wind Turbine Service Technician based at the Millennium Windfarm in Inverness. The role involves servicing and maintaining wind turbines, working remotely and on-call for faults. Nordex has an exciting opportunity for the role of Wind Turbine Service Technician based at the Millennium Windfarm in Inverness-Shire.
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Millennium Windfarm
Hours: Our core hours are 40 per week (Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm) with an requirement to work overtime when required.
Our Service Technicians are also required to be available for any breakdowns and faults at the weekend, working on-call every 2nd or 3rd weekend (depending on the size of your team). Overtime is paid at time and a half, and you will receive an additional payment for the weekend you are on-call.
As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of Nordex wind turbines covering turbines at the Millennium windfarm. You will carry out general and specialised work including repairs, troubleshooting and fault-finding activities ensuring our wind turbines continue to achieve a high level of availability.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the Mechanical / Electrical industry and be able to demonstrate knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams.
You will be Mechanical or Electrical trained through time-served or a technical college qualification which should be at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
You will be able to demonstrate you can identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions to problems.
