Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, a leader in renewable energy innovation, is inviting skilled and dedicated individuals to apply for the role of Offshore Wind Technician.

As an Offshore Wind Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our high-tech wind turbines here at Rampion, this being part of RWE’s large global fleet in Offshore Wind.

About the Role
  • Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks on wind turbines and associated generation network
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and maximise the power harnessed from the wind
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team
  • Data Analysis: Utilise SCADA systems to monitor turbine performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Project Work: Participate in various projects, such as upgrades, retrofits, and major component exchanges
Job requirements and experience
  • Technical Skills: A significant background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering, with a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification would be a benefit
  • Safety Focus: A commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of HSSE regulations
  • Problem-solving skills: The ability to think critically and find innovative solutions
  • Physical Fitness: The capacity to work in complex conditions, including offshore environments and of course, at height
  • Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Flexibility: A willingness to work a shift pattern and infrequently work offshore overnight when specialist projects arise
  • Location: You must live a reasonable distance to site or be willing to relocate
