Job summary

A community support organization in the North East UK is seeking two Wellbeing Coaches to deliver person-centred and trauma-informed support to individuals affected by the criminal justice system. These roles focus on coaching, mentoring, and providing emotional well-being assistance, helping clients build resilience and access necessary services. Ideal candidates should have strong skills in relationship building, safeguarding, and knowledge of trauma-informed practices. We're looking for compassionate professionals committed to positive change.

  • Support individuals to identify goals and practical steps towards improved well-being.
  • Signpost and refer on to appropriate specialist services where required.
  • Work sensitively with people who may have experienced trauma, loss or adversity.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to monitoring and reporting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and agencies.

Job description

Nepacs is a values‑led charity supporting people affected by the criminal justice system. We work alongside individuals and families at times of challenge and change, offering practical, emotional and well‑being support that helps people move forward. Within a programme led by The Wise Group, the roles support delivery of services across the North East to men under probation supervision. We are looking to recruit two Wellbeing Coaches (1 for the Durham area and 1 for Cleveland) to provide person‑centred, trauma‑informed support to people experiencing emotional distress, instability or multiple pressures linked to custody, resettlement and the wider criminal justice system. This role focuses on coaching, mentoring and well‑being support, helping people to build resilience, improve coping strategies, and engage positively with services and opportunities available to them.
