Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and organized Welfare/Storeman to join our team in Great Yarmouth. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our site by maintaining welfare facilities and managing the storage and distribution of materials. Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean welfare facilities, including canteens, toilets, and changing rooms, ensuring they are in excellent condition at all times.
• Manage the storage and inventory of materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
• Receive, check, and organize deliveries, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Distribute materials and tools to site personnel as required.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure the storage area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with general site duties as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, such as Welfare Operative or Storeman, is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
• A positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
• A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory.

Day-to-Day

• Conducting daily cleaning and maintenance of welfare facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for site personnel.
• Receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring materials are stored correctly and efficiently.
• Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with the site team to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
• Assisting with the distribution of tools and materials to various site locations.
• Supporting the site team with ad hoc tasks to ensure smooth operations.
