Qualifications

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full‑time Welfare Officer responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all learners and apprentices, supporting the college‑wide Safeguarding and Prevent strategies.

Suitable candidates will hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including Maths and English, and hold a Level 3 qualification. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding principles and mental health awareness, or have successfully completed relevant training in these areas.

This post requires an enhanced DBS check/Children’s barred list check, and a Prohibition check for teaching staff. Referees of short‑listed candidates will automatically be approached prior to interview; one reference should be from your current or most recent employer. In accordance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance, online searches will be conducted for all shortlisted candidates.
