Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen; we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and independently, who is compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting the armed forces’ community. This role is part time working 28 hours a week over 4 days on a fixed term contract for 1 year. If you have family and carers welfare experience, this role may be for you.

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing medical welfare support to the armed forces community for over 80 years.

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate support to the armed forces community, working as part of a team and independently.
  • Contribute to family and carers welfare activities as appropriate to the role.
Qualifications
  • Experience in family and carers welfare (desirable).
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required for the role.
Benefits
  • Annual Leave: 30 days per year plus Public Holidays (pro‑rata for part‑time employees).
  • Pension: Auto enrolment onto DMWS workplace pension scheme – employee minimum 5%, DMWS matches up to 6% (subject to eligibility).
  • Death in Service Scheme: Three times annual salary to nominated beneficiaries (subject to eligibility).
