Job summary

A reputable manufacturing company in Alfreton is seeking a Welder to join their team. In this permanent role, you will work in a modern manufacturing facility, responsible for welding complex fabrications. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG or MMA welding, and be competent with various materials, including carbon and stainless steels. This position offers competitive pay of up to £16.80 per hour with overtime opportunities and various benefits.

Overview

Working in modern, clean and first class manufacturing facilities we know require a welder to join the business. The company manufactures precision engineered fabrications for some well know global businesses.

Commutable from Heanor, Alfreton, Ripley, Derby, Chesterfield and surrounding areas.

Job Details

• Job Title: Welder
• Location: Alfreton
• Pay: Up to £16.80 per hour + overtime paid at 1.5 = earnings of £38,000 and upwards achievable
• Contracted hours per week: 39
• Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am to 12:30pm
• Role: Permanent
• Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, 13 weeks company sick pay, 4% pension contribution

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate / Welder may have some of the following; these are desirable but not essential as all applications will be considered individually:

• Previous experience in MIG or MMA welding
• NVQ level 3, apprentice trained in welding highly beneficial
• Competent working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium

Work in a first class manufacturing facility welding complex, high integrity fabrications in carbon and stainless steels from 3mm to 100mm in a range of materials.
