Role Overview

As an Web Analytics Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the business. You will work closely with C suite and senior stakeholders to deliver impactful insights that inform operational and strategic decisions. With a focus on delivery of insights, website trends, line management, and advancing the team’s technical expertise, this role will also provide you with the opportunity to make a real impact on the business’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive exploratory data analysis, surfacing key insights and presenting them through engaging visualizations, validated against available data and industry knowledge
  • Use advanced analytics to generate hypotheses that support operational and transformational activities.
  • Play an integral role in team objective definition, whilst managing day to day workload across direct reports
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the C suite and Senior Leadership Team, establishing trust and influence within the organization.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Level 1 and Level 2 Data Analysts ensuring their delivery of actionable insights in a timely and accurate manner through the squads to which they are deployed
  • Lead in the advancement the team’s coding and analytical approach standards, providing guidance on best practices while ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
What essential experience and skills will you have?
  • Proven experience in delivering analytics-driven business change, with a strong action-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Solid understanding of web analytic measurement via GA4 and Big Query
  • Expertise in using data analytics to influence decision-making in key business areas such as Marketing, Customer Experience, UX, Merchandising, Product and more.
  • Understanding of e-commerce, digital channels and understanding of digital attribution methods
  • Experience working within marketing, with domain knowledge of Digital Marketing (PPC,SEO, etc), Broadcast Media, or CRM
  • In-depth understanding of analytics methods and statistical techniques, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Experience in embedding data-driven culture, promoting test-and-learn strategies, and enabling self-serve analytics solutions.
  • Line management experience
Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Expertise in Power BI or similar data visualization tools for delivering insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Knowledge or experience of designing tests and methodologies to track impact of business change
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform; Big Query, & GA4
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring and line management experience.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for fostering a collaborative environment and driving positive change within the team and business.

Ways of Working
  • We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
  • Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don’t have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
