Responsibilities

• Conduct routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Clean and disinfect Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWSTs).
• Service and inspect Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
• Clean cooling towers and conduct disinfections.
• Analyze closed systems and dose with correct chemicals.

We are working with an industry leading and professional outfit of Water Treatment / Legionella Management services. They are currently recruiting in the North London area to take on an experienced and diligent Water Treatment / Water Hygiene Engineer. Working on Retail, Food & Beverage, Construction and Healthcare sites you will be responsible for carrying out various water treatment / water hygiene services in line with agreed timeframes and HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines. Our client can offer an attractive holiday allowance, opportunities for training and career progression and overtime with generous overtime rates.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Luton, St Albans, Hertford, Enfield, Stevenage, Harlow, Cheshunt, Reading, Slough, Windsor, High Wycombe, Bletchley, Brackley, Milton Keynes, Bishop’s Stortford, Saffron Walden.

Experience & Qualifications

• Hands on experience working as a Water Treatment / Water Hygiene Engineer for a reputable company is essential to the role.
• Will be confident working on a mixed portfolio of sites.
• Able to demonstrate excellent practical knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working in line with pre‑agreed timeframes.

The Role

• Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Cleaning and disinfections of CWSTs.
• TMV servicing, inspection, replacement and failsafe testing.
• Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
• Closed system sampling, analysis, and dosing with correct chemicals.
• Showerhead cleans and descales.
• Servicing of CLO2 units.
• Routine flushing of little used outlets.
• Cleaning and chlorinating hot and cold‑water systems.
• Working in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines across Retail, Food & Beverage, Construction and Healthcare sites.
• Updating onsite logbooks upon completion of work.
