A multi-discipline environmental company is seeking a qualified Water Treatment Engineer / Remedial Plumber in Birmingham. The successful candidate will handle legionella remedial works and water hygiene compliance duties across various sites. Ideal applicants will hold plumbing qualifications and have experience in the water treatment sector. The position offers a salary of £25k - £35k plus training and benefits.

Profile: Our client is a multi-discipline environmental company, covering the UK. They are now looking to take on a qualified and experienced Water treatment Engineer / Remedial Plumber based in and around the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will be covering a range of Hospitality, Educational, Healthcare, Leisure, Commercial and Industrial sites across the West Midlands area. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised plumbing qualification and will have extensive experience working for a water treatment / legionella company. Daily duties will include undertaking legionella remedial works, alongside water hygiene compliance duties.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold extensive experience working within the Water treatment industry.
” Will hold experience undertaking remedial plumbing duties to a range of sites.
” Will ideally hold the NVQ L 2 or L3 in plumbing.
” Must have goof working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety / ACOP L8 legislation.
” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
” Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role:
” Undertaking temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, and analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
” Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
” Undertaking remedial plumbing works in line with company needs.
” Using information from site to produce detailed reports.
” Descaling and disinfection and tank cleans and dosing.
” Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
