Our client is a highly-regarded name within the water treatment industry known for their expertise in providing water treatment/hygiene and legionella services throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for a dedicated, experienced and reliable Water Treatment Engineer around the Southend on Sea area. Applications from Basildon, Canvey Island, Brentwood and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Good chemical and technical background, ideally with a City & Guilds qualification.
• Previous experience working as a water treatment engineer and knowledge of the water treatment industry.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out refurbishments, cleaning and disinfections of cooling towers, water systems and closed systems.
• Performing routine sampling, temperature checks, monitoring air and water systems.
• Carrying out tank cleans.
• Ensuring compliance with all current Health and Safety legislation.
• Maintaining professional relationships with clients.
• Assisting with evaporative cooling system cleaning.
• Remedial works relating to water treatment/hygiene.
