Job Description

Our client is a highly respected water treatment company who deliver the full range of water treatment, legionella and water hygiene duties to clients throughout the UK. This company is currently seeking the services of a professional and experienced Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Dundee area. The successful candidate will ideally hold the city and guilds plumbing qualification and have experience in under-taking both water treatment duties, as well as, remedial plumbing tasks. Applications will be considered from Arbroath, Newburgh, Perth, Montrose and areas with good access to the M4.

Experience

• Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
• Hands on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing would be advantageous.
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
• Good chemical, technical and educational background.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Duties

• Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
• Descaling, disinfection, tank cleans and dosing.
• Conducting temperature monitoring, routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting results.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
• Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
• Collating and providing accurate reports.
• Visiting sites as per client’s requirements.

The successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have a good work ethic and the ability to carry out the work effectively and within timeline and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
