About the role

Our client is a well-established and highly successful water treatment company with a large presence nationwide. Due to recent contract wins they are looking to employ an experienced and hard-working Water Treatment Engineer based in Leeds and surrounding areas. This ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the water treatment industry and would be able to undertake a varied range of duties, including but not limited to closed system / cooling tower analysis and servicing of water treatment equipment. Applications from Hull, Harrogate, Sheffield, Huddersfield, and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience

• Strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
• Extensive experience working in this role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
• Competent with cooling towers, chlorination, steam boilers etc.
• A good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislation.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning, chlorination and maintenance on both hot and cold-water systems, steam boilers and cooling towers.
• Dealing with softeners and dosing units.
• Cleaning/servicing of TMVs, showerheads.
• Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment.
• Undertake training and mentoring of staff.
• Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
