A major water utility company in England is seeking a Water Regulations Inspector to ensure compliance with plumbing regulations across the Thames Water area. This role involves both reactive and proactive inspections of domestic and non-domestic properties. Qualifications

Job grade A Closing date 05/01/2026

You will be responsible for inspecting both domestic and non-domestic properties across the Thames Water London area, checking plumbing systems on both a reactive and proactive basis to ensure compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

This is a customer-facing role that involves regular travel to a variety of sites across London and Thames Valley area.

This is fixed term contract for 12 months

What you’ll be doing as a Water Regulation Inspector
  • Carry out inspections both reactive and proactive, contributing to our regulatory targets.
  • Auditing of approved plumbers, monitoring competency and customer care being
  • Direct involvement in high-risk/high-profile investigations, complex cases associated with confirmed water quality contamination.
  • Support the notifications received by the business in relation to plumbing alterations carried out.

Base location: Your base location can be flexible depending on where you live and this will be discussed with the successful candidate. (ashford common)

Working hours: 7:30am to 3:36pm, Monday to Friday

What you should bring to the role
