Responsibilities

• Cold water storage tank refurbishments with pipework.
• TMV installations and servicing.
• Installing and rerouting copper and plastic pipework.
• Removing dead legs and redundant pipework.
• Servicing and installing hot water cylinders.
• Completing plumbing checks and sign-offs.
• Carrying out L8 compliance work.
• Maintaining good client relationships.

Job Title: Water Hygiene Plumber

Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Plumber through to Lead Water Hygiene Plumber

Profile: A busy Legionella/ Water Hygiene company with a national presence, carrying out work on Social Housing, Educational, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Leisure sites. They are now looking to recruit a competent and knowledgeable Water Hygiene Plumber based in and around the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience carrying out Plumbing works on a mixed portfolio of sites as well as carrying out water hygiene duties in line with company needs such as temperature monitoring and water sampling. Applications will be considered from: Mansfield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Castlefield, Bradford, Halifax

Experience & Qualifications

• Will have extensive experience working within the Water Hygiene industry working for an established company.
• Will hold the City and Guilds (NVQ L2 / L3) in plumbing.
• Will be well versed in relevant Health and Safety / ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Competent in using PDA / Tablet systems.
• Will have excellent communication skills.

The Role

• Cold water storage tank refurbishments with associated pipework.
• TMV installations and servicing.
• Installing and rerouting copper and plastic pipework ranging in size/ diameter.
• Removing dead legs and redundant pipework to control the risk of Legionella.
• Servicing and installation of hot water cylinders (Desirable).
• Signing off and completing checks relating to plumbing works.
• Finding faults, providing clients with diagnosis, and resolving any issues effectively.
• Carrying out L8 compliance work to include water sampling and temperature monitoring in line with company needs.
• Making sure all work is being carried out in line with Health and Safety Regulations.
• Liaising with clients and maintaining good working relationships.
