Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer

Location: London (South & East London & Kent) Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 + Company Vehicle, Overtime & Benefits

We’re working with a leading compliance and water services provider that is expanding across South and East London and Kent and is now seeking an experienced Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong plumbing background, combined with experience in water hygiene and compliance work, who enjoys hands‑on repairs and remedial works.

You will be responsible for carrying out work in line with ACOP L8 and HSG 274, while delivering a wide range of plumbing and maintenance services across commercial and residential sites.

Key duties include:
  • Temperature monitoring, water sampling, and TMV servicing
  • Tank inspections, cleaning, and disinfections
  • Calorifier and hot water system inspections
  • Plumbing repairs including float valves, equilibrium float valves, and Keraflow valves
  • Resolving leaking overflows, stopcock replacements, and barrel pipework repairs
  • Dead‑leg removals and minor pipework modifications
  • Completing service reports and ensuring health & safety compliance
