Our client is a fast‑growing, dynamic water treatment and hygiene company specialising in water disciplines, including legionella. They are looking for a competent, committed and multi‑skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to work in East Central London, including Greenwich, Woolwich, Lewisham, Stratford and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong chemical background with relevant experience in the water hygiene/legionella industry.
• Hands‑on experience with sampling.
• Well‑versed in water treatment industry standards (ACOP L8) and holding necessary qualifications (Legionella – ACOP 8).
• Plumbing experience and qualifications are beneficial.
• Experience working in public sectors such as hospitals and commercial properties.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; IT literate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold water systems, boilers and cooling towers.
• Perform temperature monitoring, routine sampling and analysis of closed water systems and interpret results.
• Clean and disinfect Cold Water Sanitation Towers (CWSTs).
• Maintain specialist water systems.
• Conduct planned preventive maintenance on dosing equipment, adding chemicals as required.
• Complete worksheets for all work carried out.
• Build and maintain a good rapport with clients.
• Work independently and effectively within set timelines.
• Be prepared to work in confined spaces and at heights.
