Responsibilities

Our client is a diverse and progressive water treatment and legionella company providing a range of high quality services to clients throughout the UK. The company is actively seeking the services of a smart, competent and versatile Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around Chesterfield area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water hygiene background with experience undertaking duties such as TMV servicing, temperature monitoring and tank cleans. Consideration will be given to applications from Halifax, Wakefield, Barnsley, Dewsbury and the surrounding areas.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Ideally, the applicant will come from a chemical background and will have significant experience working within a water hygiene role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written.
  • Will be well versed with the water treatment/water hygiene industry legislation and ACOP L8.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Will have excellent organisational and client facing skills.
Duties within the role
  • Carrying out work on various projects designated by the client
  • Monitoring the client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
  • Carrying out checks temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Carrying out remedial plumbing work as and when required.
  • Collating and producing accurate service reports whilst still maintaining the company’s standards.
  • Liaising with the clients on a regular basis – building and maintaining good working rapport.

Overall the successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach to their work and will be prepared to travel to sites as per the clients requirements.
