Responsibilities
- Operate handheld scanners to print, pick, and pack orders; use automated equipment such as shrink‑wrap machines, labellers, pallet robots and forklifts (training provided)
- Offload, book in and receive deliveries, ensuring batch and expiry accuracy and maintaining data integrity in the inventory system
- Receive products, store and pick products, dispatch products, decant and pack products in line with organisational procedures
- Load and unload products, considering the product to be moved and its current and planned destination
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling
- Use information technology and digital systems, comply with GDPR and cyber‑security requirements
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper‑based, required to fulfil contractual requirements
- Select, prepare and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts
- Support scheduled and unscheduled stock‑taking activities under instruction
- Identify and escalade problems beyond own responsibility
- Carry out and record learning and development activities
- Conduct handover activities
- Apply safe working practices in line with health and safety legislation and company policy
- Conduct risk assessments within the working environment
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards and guidance; segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal
- Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules
Qualifications & Skills
- GCSE in English (grade A‑C / 9‑4)
- GCSE in Maths (grade A‑C / 9‑4)
- Technically minded with strong attention to detail and good IT skills
- Reliable, initiative and teamwork are essential
- Physical fitness and manual handling ability
- Willingness to use machinery

Training & Development
The apprentice will have regular online and onsite meetings with their assessor every 4–6 weeks until completion of the apprenticeship.
Supply chain warehouse operative (level 2) training course will be provided.
Salary & Working Hours
£14,918.80 for your first year, with potential for increase based on performance and age.
National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices – check current rates (opens in new tab) and note potential increase.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break (38‑hour week).
Start Date & Duration
Start date: Monday 16 February 2026.
Duration: 1 year 3 months.
