How will you make an impact?

Working in our state of the art Coldstore, where Automated Guided Vehicles transport the milk, the Despatch Technician role is a high-profile position to co-ordinate all finished product for despatch, liaising closely with a team of Despatch Operatives.

• Operating varying equipment to deliver challenging despatch targets to meet customer orders and expectations.
• You will manage and resolve day to day issues with the team (I.e. absence management), manage first level preventative maintenance on equipment and support other departments on continuous improvement projects.
• The role will also involve specialised responsibilities for certain areas such as Automation Control Systems, Palletising or Voice Picking.
• Along with this you will be expected to show strong leadership qualities and solve coldstore problems as they arise to ensure department goals are achieved.

What will you need to succeed?

This is a demanding role and although full training will be given, previous experience of working in a fast-paced warehousing environment is preferred, and knowledge of a Coldstore and automated solutions would be helpful. You will be a strong communicator who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely manner.

The role will work on a rotating shift pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
