Overview

Supply Chain Shift Leader

Kinnerton Confectionery, Fakenham NR21 8AF

Step into a supervisor role within the Warehouse department where you’ll drive performance, empower your team, and keep our operations running smoothly and safely.

Position type: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: 40.25

Shift Pattern: Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00

Pay range: £31,918.00

Breaks: 30 mins paid & 30 mins unpaid

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 8 operatives and temporary agency workers, planning daily tasks and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
  • Manage shift resources, staffing levels, holiday/absence cover, and ensure right‑first‑time stock accuracy.
  • Act as the main contact for Warehouse Operations for other departments.
  • Deliver staff training, development and appraisals on time, ensuring team competence and audit readiness.
  • Oversee PI checks, pick‑fail investigations, stock returns, and accurate pallet wrap/labelling/system updates.
  • Maintain site safety standards, completing safety tours, GMP reports, and ensuring timely incident reporting.
  • Uphold GMP and pest‑control standards through daily checks and prompt issue escalation.
  • Support operatives to load/unload safely using a forklift.
Qualifications
  • Strong people management, leadership, and team‑building skills.
  • Experience in fast‑moving production or supply chain/Warehouse environments, including stock handling.
  • Forklift licence is essential (Preferably Counterbalance, however other FLT licences will be considered)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Highly numerate and literate, able to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Resilient, adaptable to change, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Good understanding of HACCP and ability to maintain high operational standards.
