Warehouse Process Lead

Role Overview

The role of the Warehouse Process Lead focuses on analysing, optimising, and implementing enhancements to business processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement using data analysis and stakeholder interviews.
  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement process improvement strategies and initiatives that align with organisational goals, designing new, more efficient and procedures.
  • Methodology Application: Utilise lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Gemba to drive process optimisation and lead improvement projects (events or workshops).
  • Data Analysis & Metrics: Use tools such as Excel or Power BI to track, measure, and report on process performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across IT, Manufacturing, HR, to ensure buy-in, alignment, and successful adoption of changes.
  • Change Management & Training: Facilitate change management activities, including training and mentoring staff on new processes, tools, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Documentation: Document process changes, update SOPs, and maintain clear records for compliance and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management with team leadership in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (preferably regulated industry such as aerospace, defence, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Experience leading change, continuous improvement and process compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics methodology best practice and performance of individuals and larger groups.
  • Structured problem solving skills (root‑cause analysis, structured resolution tools).
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO9001 within a logistics setting.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, Six Sigma Green/Black qualifications.
