Job description

Overview

We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Appleton, Warrington. This is a permanent full-time position with a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part-time work available.

• Hours: 37.5 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £13.17 - £14.28 per hour.
• Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more.

• Shift patterns include: Night shift from 20:00 to 04:00.

• Pay, working hours & benefits: We offer an hourly pay rate of £14.28 per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts (£11.88 if you are under 21). You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full-time positions and overtime is regularly available if you want to earn more.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.

Requirements

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment then please mention it in your application.

• As one of our warehouse operatives you will start with picking orders; there may also be opportunities to work in goods in and loading operations.
