Overview

Warehouse Operative - Assembly Walk Picking at Stead House Distribution Centre, Darlington. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm. Total Hours Per Week: 40. Flexibility across shift patterns may be required.

Role purpose

The Warehouse operative plays a key role in ensuring that the customers (stores) orders are picked and packed in a neat, accurate and safe manner to meet daily deadlines. This role will report to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.

Responsibilities

• Picking products in line with order requirements
• Ensuring all agreed daily/weekly work performances are achieved to the required standard as a minimum
• Always maintaining excellent packing and accuracy disciplines
• Ensuring that all picked stock is clean and undamaged; reporting any issues to your Line Manager
• Working collaboratively with the team to actively reduce shrinkage
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy by adopting a "Clean-As-You-Go" discipline. (This may include, but not limited to: cleaning up spills, wiping down surfaces, removing waste bins and generally keeping the work area, tools and equipment clean, safe, and free from hazard)
• Assisting the Operational Team in all aspects of Health and Safety and reporting all accidents/incidents/ near misses immediately to your Line Manager.

What you\'ll need / Qualifications
