Overview

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES NEEDED TO WORK IN ISLIP / KETTERING (NN14 3JW)

Join People Solutions as a Warehouse Operative at our client’s bustling warehouse in Kettering. Long-term, stable roles with excellent career progression in a friendly and supportive environment.

Location

Location: Kettering, NN14 3JW (Conveniently located near Kettering, Corby, Thrapston, and Islip)

Shifts and Pay

• Working Monday - Friday (may involve occasional weekend work)
• Rotating shift: 06:00 - 14:00 (first week) / 14:00 - 22:00 (second week)
• PM shift: 14:00 - 22:00
• Pay rates: 06:00 shift £13.00 basic / £16.90 overtime; 14:00 - 22:00 shift £14.30 basic / £18.20 overtime

Responsibilities

• Assisting with unloading or loading of vehicles and checking in stock
• Sorting and placing stock onto pallets and rails
• Picking goods from stock for store customers in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule
• Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and safety by keeping your workspace clean
• Operating LLOP vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring goods are handled in line with standard operating procedures
• Involves lifting and carrying weight of up to 15kg
• Assist with any other relevant duties as directed by management to ensure effective performance of warehouse operation

What we are looking for

• You must be able to work either the full-time rotating shift or the full-time PM shift - there are no part-time shifts
• Warehouse experience is essential for this role
• Own transport is necessary due to the location of the warehouse and the shift times
• A basic level of English and numeracy is essential to ensure safe working practices
• You must be reasonably physically fit and comfortable lifting items up to 15kg
• Able to work overtime and meet deadlines as needed
• You must pass a Drug and Alcohol Test and a basic English & Numeracy Test
• Provide proof of your Right to Work in the UK
• These are long-term, full-time positions - they are not suitable for students in full-time education
