Job Overview

The Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor will supervise night and day shift operations within defined parameters to achieve site and customer objectives, ensuring a safe, clean, and productive working environment for the team to meet KPIs.

Salary: £32,656.00

Hours: 18:00-02:30, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive atmosphere for maximum staff performance and adherence to corporate values.
  • Communicate and train team on roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with HR and Line Manager to enhance employee engagement and wellness culture.
  • Manage team, including training, development, and employee relations.
  • Contribute to succession planning and talent development.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Analyse and mitigate risks, fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Lead Health & Safety Committee meetings and enforce safety standards.
  • Report and investigate incidents, ensuring compliance.
Quality Responsibilities
  • Implement and supervise adherence to processes and procedures for quality output.
  • Drive continuous improvement and track operational performance.
  • Support company's quality objectives and track employee attendance and inventory accuracy.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Support customer relations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure full-service delivery during shift.
  • Manage allocated equipment and storage availability.
  • Resolve customer complaints efficiently.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support the team.
  • Assist in resource planning and management.
Qualifications and Training
  • GCSE in English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent – Essential
  • Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification or relevant experience – Desirable
  • Health and Safety Qualification – Desirable
  • Current Counterbalance and VNA Licences (Training provided for VNA) – Desirable
  • Valid UK Driving Licence – Desirable
Knowledge and Experience
  • Supervisory experience in logistics within warehousing
  • Experience managing individuals and communicating effectively
