Warehouse Assistant/Driver

• Annual Salary:£28,000 - £30,000
• Location:Colnbrook, Berkshire
• Job Type:Mon – Fri 7:30am to 4:30am

Join our team as a Warehouse Assistant/Driver,where you will support the efficient running of warehouse, stock, and logistics operations. This role is crucial for managing stock and deliveries, maintaining warehouse organisation, and operating company vehicles to ensure smooth operations. Compliance with company Health & Safety standards is a must, alongside representing the company professionally at all times.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Engage in manual handling, including lifting and carrying items, some of which may be heavy.
• Prepare, load, and unload customer deliveries, vehicles, trailers, and pallets.
• Travel regularly to landside and airside locations at Heathrow to deliver and collect goods, ensuring accurate placement, labelling, and documentation.
• Receive customer spares, consumables, and stationery, ensuring all paperwork is filed and archived.
• Maintain site cleanliness, including warehouse, workshop, and trade counter areas, through daily upkeep, waste management, and recycling.
• Operate various company vehicles, including cars, vans, Luton vans, and flatbeds, ensuring all pre-usage checks are completed and any faults reported.
• Manage customer stock (PPE, uniforms, hygiene items), fulfil orders, issue paperwork, and update records.
• Operate company IT systems and software to perform all aspects of the role, including stock checks and maintaining fleet cleanliness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Safe lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of heavy items, pallets, and deliveries.
• Licensed operation of forklifts and various company vehicles, including pre-use checks and maintenance reporting.
• Competent use of company IT systems, Sage, and other software for stock management, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Delivering excellent customer care and liaising with clients regarding stock, repairs, and deliveries.
• Adhering to company Health & Safety procedures, maintaining safe working practices, and ensuring correct storage of hazardous items.
• Aged 25+ with a full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 2 years (for insurance purposes) and able to drive cars, vans, Luton vans, and flatbeds.
• Eligible to work in the UK with no unspent criminal convictions.
