Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with cutting metal, kitchen units, or wood panels is essential.
  • Confident operating industrial cutting tools and machinery.
  • Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy materials.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow works orders and briefing papers at the start of each job.
  • Select, gather, and prepare materials (including metal sheets and MFC boards, up to 70kg).
  • Cut and shape materials using various machine tools.
  • Maintain production quality, accuracy, and high safety standards.
  • Inspect finished products to meet customer specifications.
  • Proactively identify issues and support team success.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Skills

Job description
  • Position: Warehouse Assistant
  • Salary: £12.50 – £15
  • Location: Billingshurst
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm
  • Benefits: On-site parking

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Assistant to support the smooth and efficient running of our production facility. This role involves working across various areas of the workshop, operating machinery (once trained), maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Warehouse Assistant responsibilities
  • Read and follow works orders and briefing papers at the start of each job
  • Select, gather, and prepare materials (including metal sheets and MFC boards, up to 70kg)
  • Cut and shape materials using various machine tools, rotating stations for varied experience
  • Maintain production quality, accuracy, and high safety standards
  • Inspect finished products and ensure all components meet customer specifications
  • Proactively identify issues and support team success without constant supervision
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
